Terms of Service
These Terms govern the use of “KOTORI - AI Translation,” provided by Iwasa Digital. All users of the service are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
- These Terms apply to all relationships between the operator and users regarding the provision and use of the Service.
- Guidelines and policies separately set forth by us constitute part of these Terms.
- If these Terms conflict with such guidelines, the guidelines prevail unless otherwise specified.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Service”: the multilingual translation bot running on LINE and its related websites/admin pages.
- “User”: any individual or corporation using the Service.
- “Group”: a group chat room on LINE.
- “Free Plan”: the plan offered free of charge.
- “Pro Plan”: the paid subscription plan.
- “Payment Processor”: Stripe or other processors designated by us.
- “Representative”: the user who adds the Service to a group and performs paid procedures.
Article 3 (Service Content)
- The Service automatically translates messages in LINE groups into configured languages.
- To improve translation quality, parts of conversation history may be stored and sent to external AI models (see the Privacy Policy for details).
- The contents, functions, and limits of Free/Pro may be set or changed at our discretion. Latest details are shown on the website.
Article 4 (Conditions of Use)
- Users agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy before using the Service.
- Minors must obtain consent from a legal guardian.
- Users prepare and maintain required devices, software, and network at their own cost and responsibility.
Article 5 (Account and Group Information)
- We identify users and groups by LINE user IDs, group IDs, etc.
- Users bear all responsibility for managing their LINE accounts; we are not liable for unauthorized use.
- Users obtain any necessary approvals within their groups at their own responsibility.
- The Representative guarantees that all group members consent to message collection, storage, and transmission to external AI models.
- We are not liable for disputes or damages arising from lack of such consent.
Article 6 (Fees and Payment)
- The Free Plan is offered without charge within the limits we set.
- The Pro Plan costs JPY 380 per group per month (tax included). Prices may change at our discretion and apply from the notified time or the date we specify.
- Payments are made via methods provided by the Payment Processor.
- One month is charged at sign-up; thereafter, billing renews automatically each month.
- Disputes with the Payment Processor are resolved between the user and the processor; we bear no responsibility.
Article 7 (Pro Plan Term and Cancellation)
- The term is one month from the application date and renews automatically unless canceled.
- Users may cancel anytime by mentioning the bot in the group and sending the designated command or by other methods we specify.
- No refunds are provided; Pro features remain available until the paid period ends.
- If the bot is removed from a group, the Pro contract for that group auto-terminates; no refunds are made.
- If a user breaches these Terms, we may suspend or terminate use without notice; fees already paid are not refunded.
Article 8 (Handling of Conversation Data)
- Messages, translation results, and related data exchanged via the Service are stored in databases (e.g., Neon).
- To process translations and improve quality, portions of conversation data may be sent to external AI providers (e.g., Google Gemini).
- Details on retention, purposes, and third-party provision follow the Privacy Policy.
- The Representative guarantees prior consent from all group members for collection, storage, and external transmission.
- By using the Service, users are deemed to consent to the above handling.
Article 9 (Prohibited Acts)
- Acts violating laws or public order and morals
- Criminal acts or related conduct
- Infringing others’ rights, interests, honor, or privacy
- Overloading our or third-party servers/networks
- Interfering with service operation
- Spam, harassment, defamation, or inappropriate transmissions
- Reverse engineering, analysis, or modification
- Use for illegal purposes
- Fraudulent use of payment information, impersonation, etc.
- Any act we deem inappropriate
Article 10 (Changes, Suspension, or Termination)

We may change, suspend, or terminate all or part of the Service without notice in the following cases:
- Maintenance or updates of systems
- Force majeure such as fire, power outage, or natural disaster
- Failures, specification changes, or stoppages of external services (LINE, payment processors, AI providers, etc.)
- Other cases where we judge provision difficult
- We are not liable for damages arising from such changes, suspensions, or terminations, except where liability cannot be disclaimed by law.
Article 11 (Disclaimer)
- We make no warranty regarding accuracy, completeness, usefulness, or legality of translation results and bear no liability for damages arising from them.
- We are not liable for damages from use or inability to use the Service (including lost opportunities, lost profits, data loss, business interruption) except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
- If we are liable, compensation is capped at the total fees paid by the user to us in the past 12 months.
- We are not responsible for disputes between users or between users and third parties; users resolve them at their own cost and responsibility.
Article 12 (Intellectual Property)
- Copyright and other IP rights to the Service and related content belong to us or our licensors.
- Use of the Service does not transfer any IP rights to users.
- Users may not reproduce, repost, modify, distribute, or publicly transmit content without prior written consent.
Article 13 (Exclusion of Antisocial Forces)
- Users represent and warrant that they are not and will not be associated with antisocial forces.
- If violated, we may suspend service and terminate the contract without notice.
Article 14 (Changes to Terms)
- We may change these Terms as necessary.
- Changes will be announced by displaying them on the Service or other appropriate means with the effective date.
- Use of the Service after the notice constitutes agreement to the revised Terms.
Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
- Disputes related to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district or summary court having jurisdiction over our head office location for the first instance.
